How long does a domain transfer to Xitens take?

If you submit a customer panel or via the website, this may take some time. The exact amount of time varies per domain extension. If it concerns a .nl, .be, .de, .eu domain, your domain name will be active via our servers within a few hours. For a .com, .net, .org, .eu etc., the owner (administrative contact address) of the domain will receive an e-mail asking whether the domain name may be transferred. As soon as this has been approved, the current registrar will be notified. If both agree, the move will be initiated. The lead time is highly dependent on when the owner gives approval and on what terms the e-mails are sent. Here we have listed all common domain extensions for you and how long a domain transfer takes: • .nl – almost immediately after entering the transfer code • .be – almost immediately after entering the transfer code • .de – almost immediately after entering the transfer code • .eu – almost immediately after entering the transfer code • .com – maximum 7 days • .net – maximum 7 days • .org – maximum 7 days

Additional information:

Please note that if you have a domain extension such as .com and .net and it has just been registered, you will not be able to transfer your domain for the next 60 days! For the other domain extensions, this may differ per domain name. Want to know more? contact our helpdesk and we will be happy to inform you. After moving your domain name, it may take some time before it is visible. This is because all name servers in the world need to be updated.
